Traditional Oven – Hazelnut Roll Recipe
Ingredients for the roll
- 3 eggs
- 5 tablespoons of flour
- 8 tablespoons of white sugar
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ glass of water and sugar
- Dark chocolate
Ingredients for the filling
- 1 cup of whipped cream
- 7 tablespoons of hazelnut cream
Directions
Blend with a whisk eggs and sugar. Add the flour and the vanilla extract. Mix until just combined and finally add the yeast. Then, divide the mixture into two equal parts and pour the two portions onto two baking trays lined with baking paper. By doing this you will have two identical rolls, smaller, but easier to put together. Cook for 15 minutes in a preheated and ventilated oven at 356°F.
In the meantime, prepare the filling. Mix the cream and hazelnut cream in a bowl and divide the result into two equal parts. Let the two rolls cool, wet with water and sugar and fill with the cream. Roll up and wrap with cling film. Refrigerate them for at least 4/5 hours.
Before serving, decorate with melted dark chocolate and heat for 10 minutes in the oven at 356°F in our aluminium containers. Serve the hazelnut rolls hot!
