The consumption of ‘ready to cook’ foods is constantly increasing. Our Smoothwall containers in plain or lacquered aluminium are perfect for packaging these products. The containers have a smooth edge that can be sealed with special sealing films capable of guaranteeing perfect sealing and a prolonged shelf life of the food. This, if necessary, can be further prolonged with the addition of gas, using the MAP method. Smoothwall containers can also be closed with pre-formed clip-on plastic lids, which in addition to representing a practical and quick solution, give greater aesthetics to the product.

Characteristics of lacquered aluminium trays

1. Rigidity and weight: The design of our containers is designed to improve their rigidity and stability, while at the same time allowing us to reduce the weight of the packaging in line with our commitment to helping the environment.
2. Lacquering: A layer of coating can be applied both inside and outside of the containers in order to enhance the aesthetic appearance of the product, improve its sealing, increase the shelf life of the food in the case of particularly acidic foods and/or or salted or in the transformation processes of specific foods, such as sterilization and pasteurization.
3. Wavy bottom: This design promotes the circulation of hot air, preventing food from sticking to the base of the container. It also accelerates and improves the oven cooking of foods with a high moisture content.
4. Cooking methods: The complete range of containers can be used for cooking and/or reheating food in a traditional oven. By observing certain rules, aluminium trays can also be used in the microwave oven. Aluminium containers can also be used on the barbecue.
5. Recycling: All aluminium foil containers are 100% recyclable and bear the recycling symbol on the bottom, to indicate to the consumer the correct disposal after their use.
