Traditional Oven – Milk Bread Rolls Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cup white flour
  • 1 ½ cup manitoba flour
  • 1,7 oz butter
  • 0,4 oz brewer’s yeast
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 cup milk + 1 spoon for brushing
  • 1 egg yolk for brushing
  • Salt

Directions

Pour the two flours, the sugar, the melted butter and a pinch of salt into a large bowl. Start mixing with your hands or with the help of a planetary mixer. Dissolve the yeast in the milk and add it a little at a time to the mixture. Knead the dough until you obtain an elastic and smooth dough. Put it in the bowl and cover it with cling film or a kitchen towel. Let rise for 2-3 hours. Once the dough has nearly doubled in bulk, divide it into 8-9 balls and place them in the aluminium foil container, slightly distant from each other. Brush the rolls with the egg yolk and a spoonful of milk and leave to rise for another 30 minutes. Then, bake for 20 minutes at 356° F in a hot static oven. Serve milk bread rolls with sweet or savory foods.

For this recipe we used our R31G aluminium tray.
