Traditional Oven – Chocolate marble cake recipe
Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 1 ½ cup of sugar
- ½ cup of milk
- ½ cup of sunflower or corn oil
- 3 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 cups of white flour
- 1/4 cup of potato starch
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- ½ grated orange zest
- Salt
Directions
Whisk the eggs into a bowl and add the orange zest, the sugar, a pinch of salt, the milk and the oil. Incorporate the sifted flour and starch a little at a time. Then, add the baking powder and mix until you have a smooth dough.
Pour half the mixture into a cake mold or a lightly buttered and floured classic circular aluminium container, placing a cup without a handle or a glass in the centre. The important thing is that they can go in the oven. Alternatively, crumple a sheet of baking paper.
Add the cocoa powder to the part of the dough you left aside and mix. Then pour into the container and move up and down with a fork to mix the two mixtures. Cook in a preheated oven for 45 minutes at 338° F. Test with a toothpick to check that your marble cake is ready and wait for it to cool before removing it from the container.
